I was really rooting for that guy, alas :( This episode made me think how it must be impossible to stay on the same level, same wavelength with close ppl all the time, it's inevitable you gonna drift apart:( or sb will be just superior... Here is a perfect reaction to it, imho--accept it as some kind of a challenge, motivation to improve! but then again aren't our abilities limited? Their last conversation despite their mutual promises did feel sad T_T Is it possible to be truly close with sb being very different?!
So, for me it was both beautiful and thought-provoking.

welp, that was jarring, sometimes really unbearably gross but I liked the ending. Though I scanned mal comments & everyone just complaints about it :) For me when it's some formidable curse you can't do shit about, it just arouses the feeling of utter despair, futility of everything you do, of your whole life in general... So, I believe such eldritch stuff shouldn't be overanalyzed, it was smth unorthodox enough just to feel immersed in the whirlpool of eerie images.

Gosh, I was waiting for their fight but it's postponed till the next episode :( They've been scuffling all the story long :) now it's gonna be some next level clash :)

mmm I didn't even notice how fast this episode was over! Impressive, bright, expressive buut for the first time watching this anime I thought it was on the verge of being utterly ridiculous :) It was seriously almost too much but still fun :)) It even reminded me how I used to paly, it's really hard to synch your body & mind: to move fast on the playground making rapid decisions whom to pass the ball, when to shoot. It was such a blow to my self-esteem to realize it's a real challenge T_T And like here it's so complicated until it just becomes a reflex, some muscle memory, that's just an unbelievable exciting feeling when you start moving instinctively! Computer games may be the same when you need to think fast which spells to use first on which chars in fights, it's good to keep brain active but physically it's not that demanding, sadly :(
