@Никита Brazhnikov I agree that it's ok. I just had an experience when I didn't drop and was glad about it in the end, or at least didn't regret it. And I regretted of not dropping only once in all the time. I wanted to share this because a person can miss something that they would have liked in the end. Maybe not this particular title, maybe another one. Just to grain this seed hopefully.

I try not to associate myself with the characters, but to perceive them as they are, looking from the outside. This indeed expands the boundaries of what can be seen. Btw, damn it, there are characters who are deliberately created to annoy, irritate, infuriate or even frighten, by design. Some of them sometimes then reveal themselves very unexpectedly and interestingly.
You see it, you enjoy it, you praise the author, but it’s such a pity when someone didn't see it.

@Ekaterina yay, you gave it a chance ( ´ ω `)! Yeah, I understand - I've got a big watch later list too, though not as big as yours. I don't watch all the ongoings as they air yet either, I just don't have much time right now. But I still don't want to miss something decent - I've had the experience of almost dropping a title and then feeling relieved that I didn't in the end. That's why I shared it.

Your scoring system is interesting. The part about dropping a title if the score reaches a certain value reminds me of trading, specifically those situations when the price hits your long stop-loss and then surges through the skies right after, you know? 😄

У JAM CLUB отличная озвучка этого тайтла, но из-за специфики закадрового перевода с приглушением оригинальной дорожки музыка теряется на фоне комментариев, а тут это критично. Пока качественного дубляжа нет, этот тайтл лучше с субтитрами. Погружение в этом случае даже выше, ведь музыка в музыкальном тайтле это главное.

Они слишком накачивали ожидания, поэтому получилось не так эффектно, как хотелось бы. Но все равно что-то получилось. Не знаю, как они это сделали, но изменение в музыке я почувствовала - этоп приятно. Постараюсь снизить свои ожидания от тайтла, чтобы продолжать получать удовольствие

Буду честен, ждал большего, новую музыку под которую они будут ловить эндорфиновый кайф. Но ок.

If you’ve got that, the whole world of anime is wide open to you. You can dive into the weird, the experimental, the stuff that pushes boundaries, all with a clear head. If not, you’re probably better off sticking with the classics—polished, safe shows made to please the widest audience possible. Nothing wrong with that either; just different tastes.

Also, the comments here aren’t some deep critique of the anime, just personal reactions. So if someone’s being negative, it’s not a flaw in the anime—it just means it’s not for them. And that’s okay.

Alex, believe me, I'm aware I must have missed smth really decent and I'm gonna do it again :D The thing is my 'plan to watch' list contains 1736 titles + I check all ongoings every season. When I have THAT much to watch I just want to focus on as perfect as possible titles... If only you knew how many good Chinese titles were dropped because of spiders :)) or my latest drop of an interesting story with intriguing setting, very appealing MC BUT his damn sister made me furious all the time she appeared (｀□′)╯┴┴ I don't like when smth evokes negative emotions in me, I'm not gonna tolerate that. I'm here purely for entertainment & fun...
btw I give the titles a chance :) it's not the rule of 5 (or 3 as someone has mentioned recently) episodes. I start with a positive mindset giving the title 7 (good) at the very beginning. For every annoying/cringe moment I remove one point, for every exciting moment I add one. I give the title 10 if I want to rewatch it one day, it may not necessarily be a masterpiece though, just smth I'm hooked enough to return to later... If my rating score drops to 5, I'm out. This system works just fine for me. I thought that if one day my list is empty I may give the dropped titles a second chance but for now it looks like fat chance :D

Ekaterina, there were also titles that I didn't drop thanks to the 5-episode rule and didn't regret it. The benefits outweighed. 気にしないで。

Thanks for the explanation. It doesn't mean I want to watch a manipulating girl, though I can presume there was no other way to persuade her, at least she didn't know any, considering their age ig it's totally fine but it still doesn't look like my cup of tea...

It was an unpleasant surprise, but eventually, the yelling turned out to be mostly manipulation. She didn’t want the heroine to call it there and walk away. She hooked Lilisa with that.
I didn’t get it right away at the end of the first episode either, so I understand why it felt unpleasant.
But you dropped a masterpiece. The five-episode rule works perfectly in cases like this.
